Will ps3 become undisputed king of consoles within the next year or two?

Looking at ps3 and xbox 360 side by side it’s like they’re not even the same generation. Not to mention the free online play, blu ray player, better looks, built in wifi, significantly lower failure rate, quieter fan, metal gear solid 4, and so on.

The main reason people cite for 360 being better is that it has more games, but that’s only because it’s been out longer, and eventually ps3 will catch up, and it will eventually make games that xbox can’t compare to because of ps3’s superior graphics and processing power.

Now I even heard that Microsoft is going to go more for the casual gamers with their next console after seeing the success of the Wii. That means they’ll be competing with Nintendo more than Sony. So you think ps3 will ultimately beat out xbox360? In case you can’t tell, I think it will.

The only thing the PS3 has to boost is its ‘better graphics’. Even if it does truly have better graphics they aren’t extremely better than the 360s. Both systems have a pile of hot new games coming they’re way.

360:
Mass Effect 2
Halo Reach
Alan Wake
Splinter Cell Intervention, Dark Void, etc. etc.

PS3:
God of War 3
MGA
Mafia II, Heavy Rain
etc. etc.

Also, both are cheaper priced as well. So the PS3 has no huge advantages that would take it to the top. The wii has a strong lineup next year too. Super Mario Galaxy 2, Red Steel 2, etc. The PS3 may come out on top, but I highly doubt it. It’s gonna have to fight hard w/ the 360 and Wii to make it. Even if it does win next year, it isn’t the overall winner of the console wars. The wii is. It’s sold the most, like 50 million, far more than the PS3’s 25-28 million. The 360 has also sold more than it, 35-38 million.

If you ask me the PS3 is just getting warmed up, but so is the 360.
