Samsung Lcd Tv 50
I am buying a new lcd tv full HD and cant decide between a samsung 40A55 and a LG 42LG5000?
Both are full HD, I have more confidence in buying Samsung yet the LG is couple of inches larger and has 50,000 contrast ratio compared to 30,000 on the samsung. I have always been lead to believe that Samsung is the better choice but would like to hear any feedback about LG.. My main concern is that I sell mobile phones and the LG models are always quite faulty and dont know if this is the same for TV’s
If you must get a LCD that size…get the LG! The higer the contrast ratio, the better the pic quality! As for the 1080p Full HD thing…click on Chapter 4 “Ability of the eye to see 1080p” on this page:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1080p
However, at that size i would look at getting a Panasonic or Pioneer Plasma TV. Pioneer’s are a little to spendy though! It’s really hard for a low to mid-level LCD to beat a Plasma’s 1,000,000 to 1 contrast ratio and imposible for them to beat the 480hz refresh rates!!!
