Sony Blu Ray Player Problems
Help! Display problem with LG HDTV and SONY BDP-S350 Blu-Ray Player!?
I have a LG 47″ 1080p HDTV and a recently purchased Sony BDP-S350 Blu-Ray player (firmware still requires an update). I use a HDMI cable to connect the player and the TV. The problem that I encountered is that when I go to the player’s Easy Setup menu and set the output resolution to 1080p, the TV screen gets snowflake-like, faint but distracting noise. When I set it to 1080i however, the screen is clear and fine. What could be the cause of this? Thanks in advance for help and suggestion!
Check your TV manual. I suspect that the maximum resolution for the TV is 1080i and NOT 1080p. If that’s the options. Go for 720p, it would probably look better since it’s progressive not interlaced.
